The Wing

The Wing production facility was designed and built by Bremont in order to house the manufacturing process and allow for its growth. In addition to the production of the watches all additional elements ranging from design, marketing, logistics and accountancy are all centralised in the building.

In Switzerland due to the consistent long term culture of watchmaking, the knowledge and facility to produce watches is easily sourced. In the UK, watch-manufacturing in volumes, apposed to an artisanal production approach still existing today ceased in the middle of the 20th century. As a result the engineers and technical expertise required on UK soil has often been sourced from other fields such as Aerospace and the Automative industries. The result is a type of watch that is representative of Bremont's goal, combining both English engineering and design, as well as traditional Swiss watchmaking. All elements can be seen in the design and construction approach shown in these pages.

Below are a few of the 150 people (2021) employed at Bremont. The company has trained individuals from other fields to become watchmakers and technicians, these include jewellers and in one case a bomb disposal expert. There is a combination of long term employees who have been with the company for in excess of 10 years as well an influx of younger people required as the company grows.
