Arnaud Faivre is the founder of TEC GROUP, which comprises of 11 companies all working in different sectors within the watch industry.

1. Describe briefly your childhood.

Carefree, joyful without any limits.

2. As a child did you have any driving ambition?

As my family did not earn much money, I wanted to get rich ... to be rich to be entrepreneurial and to live all my dreams.

3. What is your first significant memory as a child?

I remember that I had to exceed at EVERYTHING…

4. Have you ever had another profession?

My first real job was in fruit and vegetables in a supermarket

5. What made you decide to go in the direction you are currently in?

Destiny and the will to live my dreams!

6. What’s the worst job you’ve had to do?

My first internship was employed by a pastry chef, a horror…

7. What’s been the hardest moment in your life so far, and how did you overcome it?

The fire in one of my production centers ... we worked for weeks to restart, rebuild and continue to fight to deliver our customers.

8. Who has had the strongest influence on you?

My father…by telling me, that I was mediocre.

9. What are you most proud of?

My 2 children.

10. What advice would you give to a 20 something someone thinking of taking a similar path as you?

Go all out, work tirelessly and live 1000% every day.

11. Name three things on your bucket list.

Fly a fighter plane.

Drive a Formula 1.

Live to 114 years killed by a jealous husband ;-)

12. Where do you think the watch industry is going to be in 10 years time?

The watch industry will always be stronger and stronger and so different from any other industry! watchmaking is a dream, it fascinates and will remain a niche for decades
